Who we are

TEAM Asset Management was founded in 2001, and operates as an independent investment management company, serving the needs of high net worth individuals, family offices, and institutional clients located in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.

TEAM’s approach is predicated on identifying secular, structural forces that influence the present, and future, economic landscape. We call these Mega Trends.

  • We attempt to position our investment portfolios to capitalise on the investment opportunities presented by these trends, identifying the sectors, and companies, who will be prime beneficiaries of the changes that are occurring.

What we do

We offer three investment services. MPS, Bespoke Discretionary Management, and Equity and Fixed Interest UCITS Funds. The investment policy of each service is based upon a common strategic outlook, developed to take advantage of our identified Mega Trends.

TEAM Global Mega Trends

  1. Shifting Economic Power - Western Governments are focussed upon internal concerns such as escalating Social Provision and Protection of legacy industries. Emerging economies focus more on growth and international opportunity. (e.g. Western Care Homes, Emerging Markets Technology, Premium Western Consumer Brands, Water and Waste Treatment)
  2. Resource Scarcity – Continued global population growth is stressing the world’s finite natural resources. Political and social movements are driving consumption away from polluting to sustainable energy systems. (e.g. Renewable Energy, Clean Transportation, Data Analysis and Process Optimisation)
  3. Global Demographic Change – There is a disparity between demographic problems (and opportunities) faced by Developed and Developing nations. The West is seeing a surge in retirees relative to workers, whilst emerging nations have burgeoning middle classes. (e.g. Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, Urban Accommodation, Savings Products, Luxury Brands)
  4. Technological Advancement – We live in a data driven world, where the things to which we attribute value (and what we are willing to pay for) change at a rapid rate. Technology has much lower global barriers than any other industry, creating opportunities, but also threats. (e.g. Data Analysis and Storage, Cloud Computing, AI, Genomics, Block Chain, Leisure and Gaming)
  5. Environmental, Social and Governance – Awareness of ESG factors, backed by increasing legislation, is changing the way we invest at the fastest pace since the technological boom of the 1980’s. A company’s environmental impact, and the manner in which it conducts itself, are becoming as important considerations as its financial metrics. (e.g. ESG Scoring and Data Analysis, Renewable Energy, Responsible Finance)
  6. Urbanisation – A shift from Rural to Urban environments, and the resulting concentration of Government, Business, Entertainment, Education and Research, is phenomenon in both Developed, as well as Emerging, economies. Integrating and managing such concentrations of people and power, overlap with all other Mega trends. (e.g. Water and Pollution treatment, Urban Accommodation, Consumer Brands, Civil Service support).

Our investment approach is focussed, and any asset to which we commit our clients’ funds is based on stringent, and ongoing, analysis.

We never buy what we consider to be an inferior asset solely because it is a constituent of a particular benchmark index.
